Programme Context

South Sudan is a context that challenges normal development paradigms and fits awkwardly in the humanitarian relief–recovery–post-conflict development field. This complexity has not always been taken seriously and reflected in the strategies of either donors or implementing agencies hence with that in the back of mind, a new and robust approaches and methodologies of programming is essentially required and should be informed by lessons learnt from the previous attempts to find durable solutions through “Women Economic Development Organisation.” as an organization with above cited programme overviews, geared at addressing the issues of women and girls in South Sudan.

Programme Component Focus

The “Women Economic Development Organisation”  with the mindset of targeted beneficiaries from Emergency Relief, “To early recovery and transition to sustainable Development” by implementation of project activities which contribute to the establishment of life saving assistance to affected women and girls, resilience through promotion of life skills training to enable the targeted group acquire knowledge, attitude and physical skills that they can use to solve problems to enhance personal development, Community and National Development with emphasis on economic empowerment, reintegration and empowerment of conflict affected children, Youth and Women across South Sudan.
